You can hide

The poem below was inspired by conversations during a two-day workshop relating to Corporate Rituals.

You can hide under the cloak
In the midddle of the night
For fear of what you cannot see
Or bear to watch.

You can hide under laughter
Amongst your friends and relatives
For fear of what you cannot say
Or bear to hear.

You can hide under the mask of normalcy
Pretend you are like everyone
For fear of who you really want to be
Or bear to become.

In the end you’ll have to show up
To stand as tall as you are
And speak your boundaries
With your own strong voice.
