Keep Rolling on

Inspiration comes from anywhere and may lead anywhere else!
This song was triggered by the cat we had recently adopted running through the open window. The basic text and musical line of the song were immediately present. With Jo Toudje and the band we formed in January 2020, Dothy et les Voisins, we developed the song. The image shows you the original poem with its working title, while the complete lyrics are below.

by Dorothy Oger

Keep Rolling On

You don’t have to go away.
One day you’re good,
One day you’re hurt.
Don’t run.

For us all it’s the same.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes it breaks.
Don’t run.

Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.
Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.

I have been here before
And I have returned
Ooooohoooo
Returned.

You have been here before
And you have returned
Ooooohoooo
Returned.

Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.
Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.

Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.
Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.

On connaît tous cela
Les hauts et bas de la vie
Parfois rien ne va
Parfois tout réussit.

Garde ton envie.
Moi aussi, toi aussi
Les hauts et bas de la vie
On connaît tous cela

Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.
Try again oh try again,
The tide will turn.

Waves rise, fall, rise
Keep rolling on
Waves rise, fall, rise
Keep rolling on
Waves rise, fall, rise
Keep rolling on
Waves rise, fall, rise
Keep rolling on.
