Are you thirsty for new inspiration? Would you like to explore the inner landscape of yourself and of your group, using everyday images and words?

The language of poetry is a powerful vehicle for deepening an experience and harvesting wisdom.  It speaks to the heart and the soul, not just the head.

Being creative and expressing a team journey in an artistic form is stimulating, supportive and productive – and you don’t need to be an artist!

Have a browse through the poems below to get a sense of my style.  You will also see the results of my poetic harvesting, i.e. the poems I write as I witness, participate and listen to a group workshop or when inspired by an individual client.

Ways in which I contribute
  • Dedicated workshop or session for individual or collective reflection during a group activity.  Your team produces the art.
  • In co-facilitation, listening and producing a summary poem or visual.
  • Through published work in text books or personal development books.
  • Hosting workshops on exploring inner landscape through poetry.
  • Introducing and stimulating the creative process in your projects.
  • Poems shared by other facilitators.

“Through Dorothy’s poems I can feel the support and inspiration to take risky steps in the world, both the inner and outer worlds, and hold the knowledge that I do this for my sake and the sake of the whole world.  Dorothy has a special gift for uniting the reader and writer across time and culture to the human experience we share.”

Your poem is very consistent with the theme of our work with schools (…). Your voice adds an important tone to the message we intend with the book.

“Merci – ce texte est absolument magnifique.  Il a résonné au travers de toutes mes séances de coaching cette semaine.”

“Très chouette atelier pour s’initier à, pour redémarrer l’écriture poétique de manière légère et conviviale.  Le temps a filé, et non seulement j’ai produit facilement 2 petits textes, mais je suis aussi repartie inspirée, avec l’envie de continuer au plus vite !  Merci à Dorothy et à mes compères du jour pour ce moment de douce émulation et de co-création ! Score : 10/10”

“Your poem has inspired us profoundly.  So many layers of being with and working with difference(s) are shining through your words.  It is very moving and “alive” – going directly to the heart of the matter.  We are hosting a World Cafe this coming weekend called “Hosting Difference”, and we would love to use your poem in the invitation.”

“There was a crowd of thousands who heard this being read, but as we heard the words of this poem there was total silence. “I shall stand for love.” I scribbled the words down on my hand. I knew they were important.”

“How beautiful!  I am impressed.  Your texts are very moving.  They reflect so vividly what goes on during the singing that everybody recognize themselves in them.  Your poems express so much hope, so much faith in each person’s potential, a point of light, that is what I like so much about them.  In my opinion, this is where the healing power of art resides.”

“Oh Thank you.  I get maxed out on left-brain words!”

“Thank you, Dorothy, our world needs poems.”

Alain Vereecke

“Thank you so much for this. It’s beautiful and I read it in the group today. Twice!
They asked for it to be read again. It was my pleasure to do so :)”

“Je tiens à te remercier pour le partage de ton poème.  Il résonne dans mon âme de poète.  Je suis touché par la précision de retranscription. Je reçois en mots ce que j’ai pu percevoir en sensations. Et je peux mettre des mots sur les flous qui m’habitaient encore!”

Julien
“Thank you so much for the beautiful weaving of words. I will cherish them and treat them with utmost respect.”

“Thank you, Dorothy, for this wise summary.  It helps me remember.”

“I love the way you capture so much with so few words.”

“You wrote the story even more beautifully than told to me or than I expressed.  You brought it home.”

Judith DeLozier

“Wow! Words and worlds melting together…”

“Your poem brought tears to my eyes because it so beautiful and it expresses exactly how I feel.  Je gedicht heeft me de tranen in de ogen bezorgd want ik vind het wondermooi en het is echt zoals ik het ook voel.”

Els Huygen

“I am so touched by your poetry! I love the way you capture so much with so few words. I can feel your poetry in my body as I read. Some of the poems so clearly reflect my own inner landscapes, revealing them even more clearly to myself. Thank you for this wonderful gift, inspiring and generous. Very you!”

Deborah Bacon Dilts

“Your poems moved me. You have the gift of expressing very subtle emotional experiences in a powerful and direct way, but with a light and delicate touch. I don’t know if you like Rumi’s or E.E.Cumming’s works, however sometimes I feel a connection between your style and them, and much intensity and truth in your images. I wish you to keep that and make it grow. Touching people’s hearts maybe is not an easy path, but it gives precious rewards. I believe.”

Anna Pensante

“Your poems bring me back to the energy of the workshop in an instant.”
